Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ to Premiere in Japan on Nov 29
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has announced the Japanese release of his highly successful film, “Jawan.” The action-packed thriller, directed by Atlee, will hit theaters in Japan on November 29, 2024. The announcement comes a year after the movie's initial release in September 2023, where it grossed over Rs 1,100 crore globally, breaking multiple box office records.
Taking to social media, Shah Rukh Khan unveiled a specially designed Japanese poster featuring himself, alongside co-stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, in their intense on-screen personas. Khan’s post was accompanied by a caption in his signature style, “Ek kahani justice ki... vengeance ki... villain aur hero ki... Ek kahani Jawan ki... Aa rahi hai Japan ke theatres mein pehli baar!!! Toh ab reh gaya bas ek sawaal- Ready-ah?"The excitement and action that thrilled everyone is about to make a grand and spectacular debut in Japan!
Comments ranged from enthusiastic calls for Japanese audiences to be “ready for the blast” to confident declarations that "King Khan" will soon rule Japan as well.
"Jawan" explores the emotional journey of a man, played by Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role as Vikram Rathore and his son Azad, who seeks to correct societal wrongs. The narrative centers around his battle against a ruthless gang that preys on the vulnerable, highlighting themes of justice and vengeance.
