Meiyazhagan first look: Karthi and Arvind Swamy destined to unite

The film appears to address the age-old question of where beauty lies—inside or out. Karthi, an actor, announced the title and first look poster for his next film. The film, titled Meiyazhagan, stars Arvind Swamy in the major role. "#Meiyazhagan equals Meiy + Azhagan. "Beauty is always what's in our hearts," Karthi wrote beside the first-look poster. The poster depicts a joyful Karthi sitting on the carrier of a bicycle, which Arvind Swamy is riding. The film appears to address the age-old dilemma of where beauty lies—inside or outside. Arvind Swamy is noted for his attractive appearance and light skin. His character appears to stand in stark contrast to Karthi's, who is dark-skinned but has the heart of a kid.

C. Prem Kumar wrote and directed the film Meiyazhagan. The cinematographer-turned-filmmaker made his directorial debut in 2018 with 96. The love drama, with Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha in the key roles, was a critical and economic success. According to the first look poster, Prem is going to depict a unique love story. It is safe to presume that it will take place in a rural setting and revolve around two close friends. Suriya, the Tamil superstar, and his wife Jyothika are the producers of Meiyazhagan. Suriya captioned the first look poster, "One from our hearts..!"

Karthi was last seen in Japan. The film was released in 2023 to terrible reviews and eventually bombed at the box office. The picture broke Karthi's winning streak, which had been fueled by the back-to-back successes of Ponniyin Selvan 1 and 2, Viruman, and Sardar. He is also filming Vaa Vaathiyaare, a film written and directed by Nalan Kumarasamy. Karthi's long-delayed project Kaithi 2 is also in the works. Lokesh Kanagaraj, the director, will begin production shortly after finishing Coolie with Superstar Rajinikanth.
