The long-awaited science fiction and futuristic film, titled ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, starring Rebel Star Prabhas, Big B Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan, is ready to be released on OTT platforms soon. Following its release in theatres on May 9th, 2024, the movie will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video starting August 23rd, 2024, according to Cinema producers. The movie is available in various languages such as Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
In ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, directed by Nag Aswin, the story unfolds in a post-apocalyptic world, set millennia after the Kurukshetra War from Mahabharata. It tells the tale of Kasi (present Varanasi) as the final city on Earth in the year 2898 AD ruled by Supreme Yaskin, a dictator who declares him to be divine.
In this dark and difficult life, ordinary people fight against great challenges to stay alive, finding hope when Kalki, the tenth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, is said to arrive and bring an end to the Kali Yuga. The film combines Hindu mythology with modern sci-fi to create a visually captivating and exciting story. The film features Disha Patani, Rajendra Prasad, Shobhana, Saswata Chatterjee, Brahmanandam.
