Directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Kabir Khan Films, the film is based on the story of Murlikant Petkar, India's first Paralympic gold medalist. The film also stars Vijay Raaz, Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Anirudh, and Shreyas Talpade in pivotal roles. The film will stream in India on August 9 and in over 200 countries. 'Chandu Champion' is the story of Murlikant Petkar. He was a soldier in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 and was physically disabled due to injuries. Despite facing many major challenges, Petkar became a champion in many sports and won India's first Paralympic gold medal in 1972.
