Union Home Minister to visit Bengal before Diwali

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit West Bengal before Diwali. According to sources, an organizational meeting will be held in Kolkata on October 24 with Bengal BJP leaders. He will join the meeting. Shah was supposed to come during Durga Puja. But he couldn't visit and JP Nadda Nadda visited West Bengal. Many believe that Amit Shah's visit to Bengal may lead to a reshuffle within the BJP in Bengal. The BJP's membership drive has started across the country. In the wake of the RG Kar Hospital incident, BJP leaders in Bengal got some concessions in this program. This time Amit Shah visited West Bengal to speed up the program and give a message to the leaders.

The BJP is scheduled to hold an organizational meeting at the EZCC in Salt Lake on October 24. If all goes well, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will join there. According to sources, acting central leaders will be present there. According to a Bengal-BJP MP, Amit Shah is likely to attend the meeting in Salt Lake. Because there will be a discussion on the Bengal-BJP reshuffle. Then he will seal the selected names. So everything is fine.

The BJP lost the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal. This is Amit Shah's first visit to West Bengal after the Lok Sabha Election. Because now the R.G. Kar Hospital issue has to be exploited. On top of that, there are by-elections in six assembly constituencies of Bengal. He is also expected to strategize.

According to the BJP's organizational constitution, a membership drive is conducted every six years. On August 16, party national president JP Nadda announced the membership drive. After that, Amit Shah wants to see how it has progressed in Bengal. BJP Rajya Sabha MP Shamik Bhattacharya has been given the responsibility of this program in Bengal. He wants to emphasize this program after Durga Puja. Now it's about to start. A meeting was held at the Salt Lake office on Tuesday. The central leader in charge of Bengal, Sunil Bansal, and observers were present there. The central leadership of the BJP has given the responsibility to the leaders of Bengal to cross the one crore membership. However, all parties are sceptical about how much it will be implemented. Assembly elections are due in Bengal in 2026. If something can be done there, it is being tried now.
