After a 17-day ordeal and nearly 399 hours, 41 workers who were trapped in the Uttarkashi tunnel were eventually rescued. After the tunnel collapsed on November 12, the labourers were left stranded.

And on Tuesday at approximately 7:50 p.m., the first labour was hauled out of the tunnel. And by 8.35 am, all of them had been rescued one by one. Following the rescue, an ambulance was waiting to whisk him straight to the hospital.

They then went through all necessary medical examinations. It should be mentioned that in the past 17 days, numerous strategies have been implemented. Robotics technology to American machines has been applied, but rate hole mining ultimately made the impossible mission to be accomplished.

It should be mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi kept track of all the developments regarding the rescue effort and spoke with Pushkar Singh Dhami, the chief minister of Uttarakhand, during this time.
