Prashant Kishor's party fails in Bihar By-elections

Prashant Kishor alias PK has shattered his own image by entering vote politics. PK, the architect of the change of government, himself is the ultimate flop in vote politics.

Election strategist Prashant Kishor had officially announced his party on Gandhi Jayanti on October 2. It was called the Jan Suraaj Party. In the Bihar bypolls, he announced candidates for the first four seats. When the results came out on Saturday, Prashant Kishor's team could not open the account of winning any of the four.

PK fielded Jitendra Paswan from Imamganj, Mohammad Amjad from Belaganj, Sushil Kumar Singh from Ramgarh, and Kiran Singh from Tarari. Launching the party on October 2, Kishor had said that he would contest all 243 seats in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. Before that, the people poured water on his dream in the rehearsal match of the by-election.

PK has been tragically defeated by candidates in four seats. Every candidate of the Jan Suraj Party lost by a huge margin (By Poll Results 2024). No one could reach their nearest rivals. The BJP won the Ramgarh and Tarari seats. The JD(U) and Hindustani Awam Morcha won in Belaganj and Imamganj.

PK's Belaganj candidate, Mohammad Amjad, came third with 17,285 votes. JD(U)'s Manorama Devi won the seat by a margin of 73,334 votes. In Imamganj, Prashant Kishor's party candidate Jitendra Paswan is in the third position. He got 37,103 votes. Deepa Manjhi, daughter-in-law of Union Minister Jitendra Ram Manjhi, won the seat by 53,435 votes (By Poll Results 2024).

Sushil Kumar Singh was the candidate of John Suraj in Ramgarh. He is in fourth place. He received 6,513 votes. BJP's Ashok Kumar Singh won the seat by a margin of 62,257 votes. Kiran Singh was the PK candidate from the Tarari constituency. He is also in third place. He received only 5,592 votes. BJP's Vishal Prashant, son of former MLA and stalwart Sunil Pandey, won the seat by a margin of 78,564 votes.
