According to a statement from the Department of Cultural Affairs and Cinema, poet, writer and orator Kalpetta Narayanan has been named chairman of the Kerala Sahitya Akademi, with writer and journalist M P Surendran appointed as secretary.

Renowned singer and composer G Venugopal will head the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi. Hemanthkumar has been appointed vice-chairman and N V Pradeepkumar secretary.

At the Kerala State Chalachitra Akademi, actor and film festival curator Ravindran will serve as chairman. Actor and cultural activist Priyanka Nair has been named vice-chairperson, while actors Salim Hassan and Jofin T Chacko will join the executive committee.

Actor and cultural activist Premkumar has been appointed chairman of the Kerala State Film Development Corporation (KSFDC), with director-producer Alleppey Ashraf as vice-chairman. Premkumar had previously held leadership positions at the Chalachitra Akademi during the LDF government.

Film producer M Ranjith will head the Kerala Cultural Workers Welfare Fund Board, which focuses on the welfare of artists and cultural workers.

The Kerala Lalithakala Akademi will be headed by animator and production designer Prakash Moorthy. Artist T R Udaya Kumar will be vice-chairman, while Vaikom M K Shibu will serve as secretary.

Meanwhile, Suresh Babu Elayavoor, known for his involvement in folk arts and cultural activities, has been appointed chairman of the Kerala Folklore Akademi. Tribal rights activist and cultural worker Sreeraman Koyyon will be vice-chairman, and former academy secretary Pradeepkumar Payyannur will take charge as member secretary.
