Train from Sabarmati to Agra derailed near Ajmer, No casualties

Officials reported that four coaches and the engine of the Sabarmati-Agra superfast train derailed near Rajasthan’s Ajmer on the night between Sunday and Monday. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

Railway authorities immediately initiated track restoration work after the derailment of train number 12548, heading to Agra, occurred at 1:04 am on Monday near the home signal at Madar. The down line has been fitted.

The North Western Railway stated that six trains on the route were canceled on Monday due to ongoing track repair works.

"At around 1 am on Monday, we received information about a train derailment near Madar. Fortunately, there were no human injuries in the accident, and everyone is safe. Our officials reached the spot, and by around 7:15 am, except for the four affected coaches, we sent other coaches and passengers from another railway track," stated the North Western Railway, while sharing a video of the accident site.

Some trains were halted at various stations and are now being dispatched one by one, according to officials.
