Telangana welcomed the ‘North East Connect’ Techno-Cultural Festival in Hyderabad today (20 Nov, 2025) with great enthusiasm. Organized by the state government in collaboration with the Governor’s Office and the Ministry for the Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER), this event aims to strengthen ties between Telangana and the eight North Eastern states—culturally, socially, and in terms of development.
Bridging Cultures, Building Futures
Telangana North East Connect 2025 is a ground-breaking initiative to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Telangana and North East India while fostering innovation, collaboration, and mutual growth.
The festival takes place in two stages. From November 20 to 22, the HITEX Exhibition Centre is transformed with vibrant colours and lively energy. Visitors can enjoy dance and music performances from regions, art and craft displays, engaging literary sessions, a film festival, and discussions focused on women’s empowerment and livelihoods. Women Self-Help Groups from the North East have set up stalls, contributing their unique voice and presence.
The inauguration ceremony, “Samkriti Sangamam – Samrudhiki Sopanam” (Confluence of Cultures – Path to Prosperity), features a distinguished gathering—Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, along with Governors and Ministers from the North East.
Following the cultural events, the festival continues at Raj Bhavan from November 25 to 27. The focus here switches to collaboration in Medicine, Health Sciences, Pharma, Life Sciences, and IT/ITES. Attendees can look forward to panel discussions and visits to innovative centers like Genome Valley and T-Hub.
This festival goes beyond being just another event; it advances the ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ vision, fostering deeper connections across India’s diverse and expansive landscape.
