On Sunday, the chief minister travelled to Palashbari and assessed the effects of the flooding. He went to three camps that had been set up in the area and measured the number of flood victims seeking refuge there as well as the locals' perceptions of the problems caused by the flooding, the damage it had caused, and the services provided by the government.

The chief minister also talked with the locals about how they are receiving assistance from the government. In addition, he instructed officers to pay close attention to young people and the elderly.

According to an official bulletin from the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), 66 people have died in the state as a result of flooding in the last few days. Nonetheless, some signs suggest that things are getting better.

Eight more deaths have been reported in the last twenty-four hours: two from Dhubri and Nalbari, and one each from Cachar, Goalpara, Dhemaji, and Sivasagar. As of right now, no cases have been reported as missing. The flood has impacted 22, 74,289 people from 3,446 villages under 97 revenue circles of 28 districts, according to the ASADMSA statement. While 20% of Kaziranga National Park is still under floodwater, the park's water level is decreasing.
