The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) concluded its three-day Akhil Bharatiya Samanvay Baithak at Gudilova, near Visakhapatnam, on August 21, following discussions held from August 19 to 21, 2026. This high-level baithak served as a crucial platform for alignment among 32 Sangh-inspired organisations, including the BJP, VHP, and ABVP. Led by RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and Dattatreya Hosabale, the high-level brainstorming session addressed critical national challenges. The core review highlights from the three-day meet include: Panch Parivartan Initiative, Youth & Drug Abuse, Demographic Imbalance, Development Model, and Inclusive Leadership topics.

Overview of the Baithak

The high-level meeting brought together RSS chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale and senior functionaries, along with representatives of 32–36 organisations associated with the RSS, including ABVP, VHP and Vidya Bharati. The discussions focused on strengthening coordination and sharing experiences from different parts of the country.

RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar, along with Sah-Sarkaryavah CR Mukunda, briefed the media on the key discussions and decisions.

Key Issues Discussed

Among the major issues discussed were changing demographic patterns and regional population imbalances. The RSS also expressed concern over rising drug abuse among young people and stressed the need for wider awareness and de-addiction campaigns.

With the RSS entering its centenary year, the meeting also reviewed plans for its nationwide outreach. These include a 21-day Ghar Ghar Sampark Abhiyan and local Hindu Sammelans, with a focus on reaching rural communities and younger sections.

The 'Panch Parivartan' Agenda

The meeting reviewed the implementation of its five core pillars for social transformation:

1. Samajik Sadbhav (Social harmony)

2. Kutumba Prabodhala (Family awakening and value systems)

3. Paryavaran (Environmental protection and eco-friendly lifestyles)

4. Swa (Insistence on selfhood and Swadeshi conduct)

5. Nagarik Kartavya (Civic duties)

Coordination & Autonomy

Ambekar also underlined that organisations associated with the RSS remain autonomous in their respective fields. While they share an ideological connection with the RSS, they function independently in areas such as education, social work and other activities. The Visakhapatnam meeting therefore served as a platform for these organisations to coordinate their efforts assess developments on the ground and discuss broader social and national concerns.
