Kerala to Launch ‘Navakeralam Citizen Response Program'

The collected data will be analyzed to prepare a detailed report that will guide Kerala’s developmental priorities in the coming years.

The Kerala government is set to introduce the ‘Navakeralam Citizen Response Programme’, a large-scale initiative aimed at strengthening the state’s development path through direct citizen engagement. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan announced that the project will collect feedback and suggestions from people across Kerala to shape future policies and welfare programmes.

As part of the programme, volunteer groups will visit homes, offices, schools, health centres, and community hubs to gather inputs on the performance and impact of various government schemes. The collected data will be analysed to prepare a detailed report that will guide Kerala’s developmental priorities in the coming years.

The study, scheduled to conclude by March 31, 2026, will coincide with preparations for the state’s 75th anniversary of formation. Feedback collection will take place between January 1 and February 28, 2026.

In addition, the government has initiated seminars on 33 topics under the ‘Vision 2031’ project to assess Kerala’s progress and outline long-term goals. Emphasising the importance of citizen participation, the Chief Minister said the initiative aims to ensure that the government and people work together toward building a more inclusive, innovative, and prosperous Kerala.
