BJP national president J P Nadda emphasized on Tuesday that the party’s performance in the recent Lok Sabha polls has set the stage for significant gains in the 2026 Kerala assembly elections. Speaking to party workers, Nadda declared that the ideological void of both the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the United Democratic Front (UDF) has been exposed, revealing the hypocrisy of these alliances. He criticized their pretense of rivalry in Kerala while colluding in Delhi.

Nadda accused the opposition of ideological bankruptcy, stating that the people of Kerala have recognized the hollowness of these alliances. He claimed that Left leaders have strayed from their ideological roots, now prioritizing corruption, nepotism, and dynastic politics through their association with the India alliance. Nadda alleged that these leaders promote their children not in politics but in corruption.

Recalling the BJP’s historical connection with Kerala, Nadda mentioned that Deen Dayal Upadhyay became the president of Jan Sangh at the Kozhikode conference in 1967. He praised the dedication and hard work of BJP workers in Kerala, acknowledging their efforts in challenging conditions. Nadda highlighted the BJP’s victory in the Thrissur parliamentary constituency and the increase in vote share from 16% to nearly 20% in the state.

Nadda pointed out that of the 64 seats where the BJP and Congress were in direct contest, his party won 62. He attributed the Congress’s victories in other areas to support from regional parties, describing them as relying on "crutches."

Earlier, Nadda attended an extended executive meeting with office bearers and leaders of front organizations, where they reviewed the BJP’s performance in the recent Lok Sabha polls. He stressed the importance of sustaining the momentum built from these successes and continuing to expose the shortcomings of the opposition alliances.

Nadda's address reflects the BJP's strategic focus on expanding its influence in Kerala, leveraging recent electoral gains to challenge the dominance of traditional political alliances in the state.
