According to a recent survey conducted by US base firm Gartner, more than 50 percent of users are likely to stay away from social media by 2025. The essence of this survey is that half of the users are likely to withdraw from social media platforms or significantly reduce their use. This was revealed by a study conducted by Gartner Market Research between the July to August in 2023 with 263 samples.

Mistrust, Lack of Confidence in AI:

According to the survey... 53% of users believe that the current state of social media has deteriorated compared to last year or five years ago. A perceived decay in the quality of social media platforms will drive users to abandon or significantly limit their interactions with social media. Reasons for this perceived decline were the spread of misinformation, toxic user bases, and the prevalence of bots. Over 7 in 10 consumers agree that greater integration of GenAI into social media will harm user experience.
